Chuma 2007 (31 Jan 2007)

Chuma it means "plague". It's a traditional bulgarian event about chasing away bad spirits.

Every 31th January big ones go around the streets with masks and with an adorned sticks. People should give their some cents (as halloween) otherwise they chase their heads ;) The children are terrible scared from the mosters!

At the end of the day, people that had a good year and wish celebrate it, go near the railway track to eat, to drink and to burn the worse mask against bad luck. It's usual broke the bottles on the tracks.
